To our loyal customers:
We have learned that certain production lots of the BabyRescue Rapid Evacuation Device were not manufactured according to our exacting standards and may present a risk of harm to young children. When in use, the device's bag may detach from the grip line creating a risk of injury.
We are not aware of any injuries involving the use of our products, but we are taking the following steps in an abundance of caution. We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience this news causes your family.
If you purchased one of our products between December 2018 and December 2021, please stop using the device and contact us immediately. Your device may need to be destroyed.
The following devices should be destroyed and qualify for a refund:
a) a red, orange, or white bag, sold between December 2018 and February 2020 with a small, white tag stating Made in China stitched into a seam inside the bag
or
b) a red, orange, or white bag, sold between February 2020 and December 2021 without any identifying tag stitched into a seam inside the bag.
Note: If your rescue device has a tag stating Made in USA stitched into a seam inside the bag, your device is safe for use. For additional help identifying these products, please click here.
If you own one of the specified devices, you should destroy it by cutting the grip-line away from the bag and then send photos of (a) the destroyed bag and (b) the inside seams of the bag, to info@mybabyrescue.com. Upon receipt of the photos, we will confirm arrangements for a refund.
In addition to our efforts to recover and dispose of any unsafe products, we will manufacture and offer a re-designed rescue device as a replacement for an unsafe product. We are working now to make these replacement devices available as soon as possible.
These efforts are part of our steadfast commitment to the safety of babies and children when, in an emergency, their loved ones reach to use our product. Thank you in advance for your cooperation in this important matter.
Sincerely,
Rick Peters
